Updated Covid Information - October 27, 2021

With fall and winter upon us, it’s important that the community is taking action to stay safe especially with the holiday season coming up.

In the past two weeks, the Santa Barbara County Public Health Department reported 767 new coronavirus cases, a 33.9% decrease from the previous two weeks that had 1,161 cases. With the Santa Barbara County population being 70% vaccinated, we are heading in a great direction and should continue to take preventative measures.

Furthermore, “the Food & Drug Administration authorized booster doses for the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines, joining the Pfizer vaccines that were previously authorized as boosters. The FDA also authorized mixing and matching vaccines for the booster dose once the primary vaccine series has been completed,” according to Noozhawk.
