Shine On Santa Barbara

Thousands came together in Santa Barbara for the 48th annual Solstice Parade and Celebration for the first time since 2019. Due to the pandemic, the festivities were put on hold until the community could safely celebrate.

Drawing crowds of 85,000 people, the parade was a major success for the community taking place at noon last Saturday. The parade played host to a wide array of individuals, from dancers and gymnasts in vibrant costumes to singers riding on elaborate floats.

The celebrations continued in Alameda Park as festival goers enjoyed performances by both locally and internationally known bands on both nights of the celebration.

The theme for this years’ festivities was SHINE and the Santa Barbara community rose to the occasion. Check out the video for a glimpse of the festivities!
