We're not talking Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis Jr.; we're talking about those rodents that are becoming more prevalent in Santa Barbara. But no worries—The Resource talked with Brian Cabrera, General Manager of the Mosquito and Vector Management District, who has some great tips to prevent or alleviate any problems with rats that you may have.

What to look out for:

  1. Rug Marks

  2. Nesting

  3. Fecal Pellets

Are there preventative measures?

  • Cut back on vegetation

  • Clean up any fruit that may have fallen off your trees
