Empowerment for Young People Post-Roe

A Discussion Panel Sponsored by SBWPC Young Feminists

Young people were born into a world where abortion was legal. The overturning of Roe v. Wade has forced young people into an unfamiliar, post-Roe world. The panel will discuss the SCOTUS decision in Dobbs (2022) and its implications for young people and their partner’s futures and families.

Hannah Sullivan facilitated the distinguished panelists who included Jackie Gardina, Dean of The Colleges of Law; Vianey Lopez, District Director, Senate District 19; Erica Reyes, District Director, 24th Congressional District Office; Julia Teymouri, Director of UCSB Students for Reproductive Justice; and Luz Reyes-Martin, Planned Parenthood, Vice President of Planned Parenthood Central Coast Action Fund.
