The Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony

Holiday spirit is high in Santa Barbara with the second Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony that took place downtown.

Locals and visitors of all ages gathered to witness the lighting of the 36 foot tree and to celebrate the beginning of this Holiday Season. Santa was in attendance for photos, DJ Darla Bea provided festive music for the dancers, and Santa Barbara’s own Holiday Prince and Fairy raised their wands to help light the tree.

Santa Barbara Parade of Lights

The December festivities continue with the Santa Barbara Parade of Lights, a tradition on the water where hundreds gather to watch the fleet of boats travel from Stearns Wharf to Leadbetter Beach and the Cabrillo Arts Pavilion and back again, culminating in a fireworks display over West Beach.

Dozens of boat owners from the local harbor outfit their vessels in festive lights and decorations to participate in the parade and celebrate the holiday season.
