De Marcos Fashion Academy

De Marcos Fashion Academy began as a graphic arts business in the late 1970s and eventually became De Marcos Productions Model Agency (DMP) exclusive to Santa Barbara.

DMP has produced many successful models on the international runways of top designers and fashion magazines. Its owner, Jodi de Marcos, began her career as a fashion model while later becoming a freelance fashion illustrator and graphic artist in fashion advertising. These skills lead her to work as a stylist and make-up artist for operas and photographers. De Marcos even became a fashion photographer herself. To continue to utilize her talents, she opened De Marcos Model Agency and produced many fine models for the runways of Europe, Asia, and the US. One model to highlight, Guenevere Van Seenus from San Marcos High School, was featured in the May 2009 issue of Vogue Magazine as one of the top models in the fashion industry.

Today, De Marcos Productions continues to develop models as well as the talents of many young people who posses an innate passion for fashion. At DMP, you can learn many of the creative skills and trades called for by the fashion industry. They have courses for Modeling, Fashion Design, Fashion Advertising, Runway Training, and more.
